SUMMARY

The Electronics Business Unit (EBU) of ANSYS is seeking a Senior R&D Engineer to join ANSYS Electronics Desktop (AEDT) Circuits & Systems team to participate in ongoing research and development of a SPICE-like circuit simulation engine and related technologies. These tools are used to simulate circuit & system performance for EMI/EMC, signal integrity, power integrity and radio frequency (RF) design. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, development and maintenance of the various aspects of software development of AEDT components within the Circuits framework.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Participate in planning, architecture, and research.
  • Perform complex software development activities in C++ including research into appropriate solver technologies.
  • Employ best practices and help to maintain them through technical reviews and mentoring.
  • Perform complex bug verification, release testing and beta support for assigned products. Research problems discovered by QA or product support and develop solutions.
  • Research and understand the marketing requirements for a product, including target environment, performance criteria and competitive issues. May work with strategic customers or proxies to assess needs and develop solutions.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ph.D. degree with two years of experience in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Math, Physics, or related technical field, or a Master's degree with five years of relevant experience.
  • Strong mathematical background, especially in Matrix theory and linear macromodeling techniques.
  • Ph.D. degree with four years of experience (seven years if Master's degree) in scientific programming with at least two years of experience developing numerical methods and algorithms.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Ph.D. degree is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable in the internal working of a circuit or system simulation, especially in Scattering parameters and how to model them in time-domain simulation.
  • Proficient in advanced C++ concepts.
