The Senior Director of Variable & Interest Sensitive Life ( VISL ) GAAP Valuation will oversee the actuarial GAAP valuation of VISL business including financial reporting, earnings analysis and fulfilling other regulatory requirements. The position reports to the Lead Director & Head of GAAP valuation and will manage a team of approximately eight. Responsibilities include: Being accountable for the timely and controlled production of VISL GAAP results, earnings analysis and communication of results to senior management. Direct the team responsible for VISL GAAP actuarial valuation and forecasting. Oversee processes, analysis, infrastructure, and controls to ensure accurate and timely delivery of results for DAC, URL and reserving. Deliver effective insights and explanations of results to senior management and internal stakeholders across the Company. Lead updates and enhancements to valuation process to enable the Company to transition to FASB Targeted Improvements and other regulatory enhancements. Oversee the implementation of SOX-404 compliant control processes. Coordinate responses to audit requests. Lead the development of actuarial talent in the Valuation unit; promote collaborative and high-performing culture. QUALIFICATIONS: FSA with 7+ years of relevant actuarial experience Experience with life insurance preferred Strong ability to communicate complex topics to senior leadership in non-technical terms Results oriented, accountable for performance, and motivated to take ownership of projects Capacity and eagerness to challenge and influence in a highly collaborative way Strong aptitude for mentorship and project management Why AXA Equitable?
