Data and BI Analyst Data and BI Analyst Our direct client, a global Private Equity firm in Greenwich, is seeking a junior Data and BI Analyst. As a member of the BI group, your primary responsibilities will include assisting with collection, analysis, and reporting of data primarily associated with the 100 portfolio companies while working within a global team environment. This position will require the candidate to apply technical and statistical knowledge to streamline existing processes and create new analysis and enhanced reporting. For this role, the financial analysis knowledge is a nice to have but not required. RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following Track portfolio company financials and provide insightful commentary on portfolio company financial performance on a monthlyquarterly basis Assist in the preparation of materials for annual investor meetings, quarterly valuation meetings, as well as various internalexternal management presentations Compare and evaluate fund and deal performance through IRR, return on capital, and benchmarking analytics Enhance the grouprsquos bandwidth and analytical capabilities by implementing automation solutions Assist with the construction and management of a competitive intelligence tracking system on the firmrsquos portfolio companies and their competitors Leverage the teamrsquos analytical tool set to blend discrete data sources into interactive executive-level dashboards Interact with external consultants and internal teams to support the implementation of a cloud-based data warehouse Assist in the development and testing of fund-level hypotheses for the firmrsquos various investment strategies Various ad-hoc analysis QUALIFICATIONS Bachelorrsquos Degree with a major in accounting, finance, information systems, mathematics or computer science. Two years of experience in a data science role, software development role, managementtech consulting role or experience with private equity asset management High proficiency in Microsoftrsquos suite of office products Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Financial Analysis, Python, VBA, C++, R, SPSS, SAP, Qlikview, Power BI, Tableau, HTML, Visual Studio and or SQL Deep understanding of data warehouses, Microsoftrsquos cloud-based solutions preferred (SSIS, SSRS, and SSAS) Ability to thrive and multi-task in a fast-paced environment To fit the firmrsquos core values, the ideal candidate must have the proven ability to Effectively communicate and collaborate with a variety of different people across an organization Uphold the highest level of integrity, professionalism and character Seek continuous professional and personal improvement in the pursuit of excellence
