The Healthcare Analyst is responsible for leveraging existing population health data tools as well as working with large raw datasets to provide analyses and actionable insights for an Accountable Care Organization (ACO). In working with the Sr. Director of Strategy and Analytics, the Healthcare Analyst will aggregate and summarize data from claims files, electronic medical records and other miscellaneous data sources. The information curated by the Healthcare Analyst will be used to make strategic decisions around population health programs, initiatives, and collaborations, as well as provide data and analytic support for this important work by identifying areas of opportunity, monitoring progress, and creating automated processes. Through visualization of data and communication of findings the Healthcare analyst will be an invaluable resource to the success of the ACO.
Bachelors degree with 2-4 years experience with healthcare claims data and concepts required. Experience in SQL required. Prior exposure to BI tools, electronic medical records (Epic/Cerner), and ability to utilize R, Python, and VBA for data scrubbing and automation is preferred. Practical experience in a business analytics or population health analytics role strongly desired. Requires the ability to multi-task, strong attention to detail, deadline conscious, and results oriented. Understanding and familiarity of managed care organizations or accountable care organizations, or previous experience at a health plan, preferred. Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills required.
