Warehouse Supervisor (Full Functioning)

Compensation: $23 - $27 hourly POSITION SUMMARY Provide leadership in warehouse/logistics management, promoting an environment of cleanliness and order, quality and continuous improvement. Manage staff, processes, physical inventory and inventory control, warehouse layout, on-time delivery and metrics that exceed the customers' quality and service requirements to ensure long term growth for the company This is a working leadership position requiring performance of all Shipper/Receiver functions in addition to leadership responsibilities. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Accountable for the selection and management of all warehouse staff, including recommendations for changes in staffing necessary to meet demands of workload. Management of Staff includes: -On the job orientation -Training & Cross Training of key positions -Daily monitoring of discipline to policies, procedures, job information books and quality alerts -Daily communication and feedback -Quarterly feedback on individual goal & objective progress -Annual performance reviews Meets warehouse operational standards by contributing warehouse and inventory management information to strategic operational reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying warehouse system improvements. Manages inventory movement to and from the warehouse; coordinating inventory transfers with molding, assembly and cleanroom departments. Delivers supplies and equipment to departments by receiving and transferring items. Maintains storage bay and warehouse layout by organizing floor space; adhering to storage design principles; recommending improvements. Maintains physical inventory by conducting monthly physical counts; reconciling variances; inputting data. Works closely with Production and Customer Service Managers to identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and initiate prevent recurrence actions. Manages physical inventory to an absolute variance of 5% or below. Keeps equipment operating by enforcing operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; requiring preventive maintenance; calling for repairs. Enforces, and maintains safety standards, policies, practices, and procedures in order to comply with laws and regulations and minimize accidents and injuries; assists in the planning, development, and implementation of safety programs. Perform full functionality of the Shipping/Receiving function according to that Job Description. Respond positively to requests from employees and management. Take initiative to identify problems and offer or implement solutions. Cooperate with/offer assistance to other departments as needed. Education High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) Experience Five years of experience as a Warehouse Supervisor or an equivalent position, preferably in an injection molding or manufacturing industry. Proven leadership and organizational skills with a working knowledge of ISO 13485 and Class 8 Cleanroom requirements. Experience in managing and directing warehouse operations and staff. Excellent oral and written communication, organization and logistics computer skills. Computer Skills Ability to access touch screens to call up and select product specific information paying close attention to product and lot numbers. Ability to use hand-held scanners to scan and record finished production into the inventory system.
