Purpose/Scope of Role: The Director On-Premise Commercialization is responsible leading and directing the On-Premise national channel strategy and commercial planning processes. Responsibilities include the development and implementation of annual channel plans, segmentation and communication.. This person will develop and implement strategy and ways of working with internal and external stakeholders for On-Premise objectives based on current channel trends, insights and in market dynamics.. This position is the critical linkage between national accounts On-Premise, in-market teams, distributor/broker sales and marketing and 3rd party agency resources. The role will also work cross-functionally with the broader organization resources, Innovation, Sales Operations, Advanced Analytics, NRM, and Supply to identify business building opportunities and solve problems.. Role, Key Deliverables:. Channel Plan Attainment. Implement Ways of Working with National On-Premise stakeholders. Develop and activate annual channel plans to reflect brand and customer strategies to support the delivery of business goals while coordinating with sales, marketing, and customer marketing. Channel Communication Lead. Ultimate Segmentation Owner. Develop & Scale Channel & Account Type Plans. On-Premise BPM Process. Role, Key Responsibilities:. Lead Diageo On-Premise Segmentation efforts and linkage into EDGE.. Set strategy and ways-of-working for On-Premise and gain internal resourcing support.. Drive and develop the On-Premise yearly/monthly planning calendars in accordance with National Activation/Execution calendar and customer specific needs. Own the AOP annual planning process in conjunction with customer and market teams including account segmentation, budget and resource planning and financial prioritization. Provide commercial needs to ensure optimal program delivery (fit, form, function) to customers & markets. Identification and development of customer one-off (by exception) opportunities during year that are on strategy. Align with Key Division and Wholesaler Partners on national priorities to ensure local execution. Identifies channel issues & opportunities, suggests strategies, orchestrates strategic initiatives and provides M&E. Lead all internal sales meetings, third party QBR's and participate in BPM meetings, monthly conference calls. Qualifications and Experience Required:. Moderate to heavy commercial experience (7+ years). Bachelor's Degree required. MBA preferred. Experience working across a diverse beverage alcohol distributor network preferred (Open, Control and Franchise states). Experience with EDGE & Trax Required. Advanced communication, negotiating & fact-based selling skills are critical to this role. Position will need strong data analysis and management skills in order to maintain segmentation and identify channel trends and activities across divisions.
