A multi-billion dollar hedge fund is seeking to bring on someone ready to leave an leverage finance banking program and join a growing team as a Credit Research Analyst. They are ideally looking for someone with 1-3 years in a banking program that has experience in leverage finance or high yield or in a CLO group. You will support Sr. Analysts in identifying security and industry mispricings due to credit or fundamental factors, research upcoming catalysts, special situations.You will review financial statements, build financial models, review credit documents, perform industry research. Ideal Candidate: Will have a degree from a top undergraduate program(economics, finance, mathematics, statistics, accounting). Extreme attention to detail. Have excellent oral and written communication and teamwork skills. Have extensive exposure to accounting and finance through an analyst training program. Have at least two years experience in leveraged finance, high yield analysis. Must have participation in an investment bank training program with a focus on credit. Have the ability to fully analyze a corporate issurer's financial statements, filings, news releases. Be familar with Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy processes is preferable but not required. Ability to think quickly and have an entrepreneurial attitude.
