Your Role: Your role sets vision, strategy and plans for technology and data management related to our Investment function which shapes the group?s strategic goals and effectiveness. It leverages institutional investments acumen and relationships built with the Investment Leadership team to emphasize building our Investment Management capability while working across the business to drive value for the broader organization. It reports to the Investments CFO with a dotted line to the Chief Information Officer.
? Link the business mission, strategy and process of Investments to its IT strategy through developing relationships with senior leaders, creative use of enterprise architect models, leveraging business capability analysis and understanding of the technical environment
? Build and develop a capable, motivated, and professional technology team with leaders who are trusted business partners
? Partner with Operations & Finance leaders to manage cross functional team members responsible for driving projects in support of business goals. Collaborate with and advise Investments leaders on technology and data opportunities that improve business performance
? Manage budget while monitoring enterprise architecture for consistency and applying best practices throughout Investment systems, aligning with Corporate IT group, to ensure consistent standards, compliance, security, people development and effective partnership
? Effectively engage internal teams, customers and other experts to create and drive multi-functional change initiatives while developing peer, cross-functional and cross-business relationships to maximize best practice sharing and team effectiveness
? Minimum of 10 to 12 years in Investment or related IT leadership roles with demonstrated progressive management experience
? Minimum of 4 years of experience in Investments IT and/or Portfolio Management IT
? Proven ability to work collaboratively with all business functions to build strong strategic partnerships
? Demonstrated experience defining & driving technology programs, applications, models, operational and analytical databases, and architecting technology environments
? Experience working in matrix environments in multiple locations, with ability to guide and direct teams/projects
? Create healthy team dynamics through communication, team contribution, and client focus
? Solid understanding of investments data, systems and processes
? Strong critical thinking, decision making and complex problem-solving skills
? Excellent communication skills
? Strong process management & project management skills
? 5-10 years of experience investment accounting or investment industry experience
? CFA Candidate, MBA or advanced degree
? TOGAF certification
? Strong change management skills and demonstrated change leadership experience
? Demonstrated ability to quickly grasp mathematical principles and financial concepts and work with highly analytical individuals such as actuaries, investment analysts, finance and risk professionals
? Experience with Princeton Financial Systems for Securities, OpenLink?s Findur, Midland?s Enterprise, BlackRock?s Aladdin, ePAM, Markit EDM, Incorta and Business Objects
? Some travel may be required (<20%) to Genworth's Richmond headquarters
