() The Project Engineer will be responsible for collaborating,organizing and executing all the activities that will deliver both Capital investmentsand small projects improvement opportunities. This includes design,construction/installation, commissioning, startup, and documentationactivities. The Project Engineer provides the detailed technical documents formaterial and equipment procurement, fabrication and construction/installation.This role will also plan and schedule the project work, coordinate procurementof materials and services from company-approved suppliers, track timing andcost, manage construction & installation, and communicate projectexpectations and progress. The Project Engineer also focuses on ContractorCompliance, maintains plant records and engineering drawings for the facility,and assists the project portion of the outage work processes.

A Day In The LifeTypically Includes:

  • Develops, coordinates and interacts with key personnel both inside and outside the plant. Assists plant, division managers, and others to exceed safety, production, quality, and project goals & objectives.
  • Manages and develops relationships with supplier(s) and contractor(s). Communicates & cooperates with internal and external resources to respond to project questions and requests, resolve scheduling conflicts, and escalate issues as needed.
  • Develops project scopes with input from other divisional resources, engineers, production, and maintenance staff.
  • Reviews contractor deliverables, quality, and resolves technical issues during scope development, design, and construction.
  • Ensures projects are executed in legal, safe, and environmentally responsible manner.
  • Monitors systems to measure and control project progress against schedule and cost.
  • Ensures contractor alignment with the company safety processes and risk tolerance.
  • Participates as a member of the Plant Leadership Team with the goal of maximizing the plant?s long-term value creation.
  • Develops projects from conceptional state to completion.
  • Assists Division resources and others with project development activities, planning, and sourcing of all needed resources.
  • What You Will Need:


    Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s degree in Engineering
  • A minimum of three (3) years of experience in project development and execution.
  • Familiarity with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
  • Proven experience with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook)
  • Able to travel approximately 10% - 20% for training, to provide technical assistance to other plants, and to support division-wide projects and initiatives.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • Project management experience
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in planning and scheduling project work during plant outages
  • Experience with practical application of Process Safety Management (PSM) requirements, Management of Change (MOC), and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews (PSSR)
  • Proficient in the use of a Computer Aided Design (CAD) application. AutoCAD and SolidWorks capability are a plus.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project
  • Effective problem-solver, applying data-based critical thinking to make decisions.
  • Familiarity with performance measures and maintenance requirements of equipment.
