Are you a data driven, inventive creator looking to take a lead in optimizing reports, dashboards and model-based projects to deliver strategic insights and metrics to Global leadership? This role will be on the frontline of collecting, manipulating and delivering consistent, timely and accurate data to support the operational backbone of performance, initiatives, strategic decision-making, and process opportunities. A day in the life as a Sr. Global Operations Analyst
* You will gather, transform and report large sets of unstructured data into structured information for analysis, decision-making, and reporting. * You'll support and develop existing and new reports and dashboards in Microsoft's business analytics service, Power BI. Ensure data are being transferred correctly from internal source systems like SAP - ERP, IBP, Business Intelligence and external partner systems. * Effectively work independently to author, design and implement new development applications and reports. Requires advanced knowledge of business intelligence and analytical tools to develop in the most visually efficient way possible. * Collaborate with global operational and commercial teams, GBT, and IT on new data sources and views; develop appropriate connections between unconnected data sources and establish tables, views and stored procedures as required within global operations. * Project manage assigned Global Operations projects. May require any or all of interviewing, collaborating and or training of a diverse group across many locations. Such as Project Management, Cost Engineering, Finance, GBT, Operations in multiple locations globally including North America, Europe, Latin America and Asia Pacific. * Continually explore reporting tools, development languages and application to help global operations meet its objectives.
What you'll bring
* 3+ years' experience in data engineering, report building, and data analytics. * B.S. in quantitative field (e.g., analytics, computer science, CIS, engineering) * Advanced Excel capabilities, including topics like lookups, PowerQuery, PivotTables, VBA, application macros and automation. * Experience with a Data Analytics tool such as PowerBI, Tableau * Advanced data and SQL skills; ability to design and optimize queries and create data structures. Join multiple data sources, advanced stored procedures and job scheduling, transmission to and from databases, ETL and data warehousing. * Preferred skills in a data-related scripting language such as R, Python, DAX, SQL * Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills - experience working with business partners and senior leaders regularly. * Proven project management capabilities, able to coordinate multiple projects and prioritize a variety of incoming requests.
