Quality Data Manager at a prestigious College of Medicine
The primary role of the Quality Data Manager is to provide data management and analytic support for projects performed in conjunction between the Network Performance Group and the multidisciplinary clinical programs at the Health and its specialty systems. Particular focus of this position is on the information and analytic needs of the Stroke Center.
The position is hands-on and will understand, document, and analyze data to respond to specific questions or generate analytic insights with a focus on improvements in quality, ensuring patient safety and maintaining regulatory compliance.
This position will provide an interface between clinical providers and information resources (IT, data capture, data extraction, analysis and reporting).

Master's degree required in informatics, Health Information Management, Statistics, Data Science or related field.

3 - 5 years of experience in data analysis, data mining or analytics in healthcare related fields
3 - 5 years of experience working with EMR/Clinical databases and clinical or enterprise data warehouses as data or software analyst
3 - 5 years of experience working with and optimizing SQL queries and relational database schemas

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS:

Strong analytic skills to analyze, categorize and translate business/user requirements to functional requirements
Excellent interpersonal and writing skills to communicate and document user interactions, requirements and create user documents
Excellent presentation skills for demo and user training
Demonstrated ability to take the initiative, establish/enhance business analysis procedures and improve operational efficiency

PREFERRED:

Experience in clinical informatics and clinical terminologies (ICD9-10, LOINC, CPT)
Experience in statistical analysis, predictive modeling, machine learning, and data mining
Experience with scripting and data pipeline automation
Experience working with Epic EMR and associated data repositories
Experience working with various types of health care data
