Join Collins Aerospace and help us revolutionize the aerospace industry today Role Overview As Senior Manager of the Digital Technologies Web & Mobile team, you'll help drive digital transformation by leading a team of technologists developing modern web and mobile applications. This team is responsible for all custom web and mobile development in our $24B aerospace business unit. In the Senior Manager role you will leverage your experience leading on-site and remote teams combined with a strong background in application development to oversee the successful delivery of web and mobile applications. Experience in application architecture, OOP such as C# and/or Java, modern JavaScript frameworks, as well as native and hybrid mobile development is required. A solid understand of Agile, User Experience, Quality Assurance and DevOps are key to success in this role. You will report to the Associate Director of Web & Mobile, and can be located in either Charlotte, NC, Cedar Rapids, IA or Windsor Locks, CT. Primary Responsibilities: Lead a team of technologists, providing guidance, coordination and resolution of blockers as needed. Align closely with the peer team, Portals & Integration, on goals, resources and common project success. Foster career growth of team, including establishing goals and providing frequent feedback. Perform HR tasks including interviews, hiring, performance evaluations and remediation, PTO scheduling. Monitor resource allocation and maintain appropriate workload forecasting. Coordinate efforts between on-site, remote, offshore and dotted-line resources. Work closely with Enterprise Architecture, Product Management, User Experience, Infrastructure and PMO teams. Implement and encourage adherence to best practices including code reviews, pull requests, automated unit tests. Champion Agile methodology and ceremony. Maintain reasonable technical acumen in web and mobile technologies through research, user groups and professional development. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelors degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 5 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience is required. 4 years leading application development teams 4 years agile Preferred Qualifications: Management of large portfolio of applications (100) Strong background as web and/or mobile developer Strong analytical and problem solving skills Leadership of remote and off-shore teams Azure or AWS cloud experience Quality Assurance experience Basic server administration Basic network administration At Collins, the paths we pave together lead to limitless possibility.
