The Specialist, eCommerce Digital Content plays an important role in helping UNFI be a world class eCommerce partner to retailers. By ensuring that the product inventory levels are communicated frequently, and the product feed and images are accurate and detailed, UNFI helps its customers sell more products with higher levels of consumer satisfaction. This position also plays an important role with the UNFI Content Team to launch new processes to improve product data throughout UNFI and not just within eSolutions.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* Create, update and upload product feeds with content, photos, pricing, shipping - Maintain the integrity and accuracy of content in listings - Understand platform algorithms and optimize listings for search engine rankings. * Develop ecommerce content (product data, digital advertisements both on site and offsite, SEO) best practices, guidance, and objectives for various playbooks including UNFI Easy Options, API, turnkey stores, content and data for our channel customers, email marketing, social media, etc. * Work with UNFI Content team to launch, and embed into processes, a digital product information and/or digital asset management system to support key eCommerce channel needs. * Work with UNFI Business Technology on Master Data Management, Product Information Management and Digital Asset Management process and technology utilization and ensuring eCommerce content needs are met. * Partner with cross-functional teams to test new solutions, improve processes, set standards for execution, and develop of playbooks to train and educate the organization. * Educate and collaborate with ecommerce sales teams and partners to ensure the quality of digital assets and that data meets best-in-class eCommerce standards. * Manage technology partnerships with ecommerce technology providers and 3rd party technology vendors from a channel perspective, including but not limited to Salsify, Order and Inventory Management apps (Inventory Source, Channel Advisor, CommerceHub), GDSN pools and business intelligence reporting tools. * Develop and set standards and measurements (KPIs) to track and monitor content and technology effectiveness for a variety of ecommerce sales (conversion, consideration, loyalty, awareness). * Lead the ecommerce content and data infrastructure roadmaps and deployment. Embed into processes a digital focused solution to supper key retail needs. * Own ecommerce roadmaps for API, product feed, Salsify, FTP order systems. Own best practice guidance on optimization of ecommerce product technology and data.
* Bachelor's Degree preferred, or Associates Degree with equivalent eCommerce content management experience. * 3 years relevant work experience in content production/management especially for large, high volume eCommerce websites using DAMs and/or PIMs. * System Implementation Preferred. * Advanced skills in day to day management of industry standard digital content management (DAM) platforms and Product Information Management (PIM) platforms such as Salsify. * Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel required including data and pivot tables. * Basic knowledge of HTML coding. * Basic skills in Adobe Photoshop.
