This position covers detailed knowledge in operating systems, operational tools, networks, data base management software, Citrix and other similar systems support software. Focuses primarily on information and document requirements for data, workflow, logical process, hardware and operating system environment, interfaces with other systems, internal and external checks and controls and outputs.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
* With only general direction and guidance, conduct special assignments of a highly complex and technical nature and develop alternative strategies which have an important effect on planning or meeting objectives. * Provide breadth and depth technical advice and serve as a technical training resource to management and staff. * Plan and coordinate the day-to-day activities of a group of engineers or programmers which have the responsibility for a major technical area/system. * Gather business requirements, determine appropriate solutions and effectively communicate those to partners. * Act as project lead for major projects requiring the use of project management and interpersonal skills to coordinate project interdependencies. * Apply knowledge base technical expertise in decision making and in the resolution of problems which are highly complex and technical in nature. * Collaborate with team to promote automation and develop consistent technical build, implementation and support processes. * Utilize standard enterprise tools to develop or implement infrastructure hardware, software or other technical components. * Provide preventative maintenance, troubleshooting and quickly resolve problems to ensure infrastructure and application stability. * Observe and comply with company change and incident management procedures. * Work with hardware and software vendors regarding problem resolution, new products and services.
* Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, or a related discipline preferred. * 5 years relevant work experience. * Citrix and Storage Area Network (SAN) administration experience in an enterprise (Brocade DCX and/or Cisco MDS director class switches). * Storage Array administration experience in any of the following: IBM Storwize, NetApp FAS, Hitachi, INFINIDAT Infinibox, IBM SVC (SAN volume Controller), Dell-EMC Data Domain. * Linux/Unix and/or Windows Server administration experience, knowledge of scripting and automation with Unix and/or windows technologies. * Experience with Virtualization technologies such as VMware (ESX/Virtual Machines),IBM (P-Series/LPARS), and/or Solaris (Frames/LDOMs). * Experience maintaining/managing equipment in a Data Center. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong customer focus and demonstrated ability to work in geographically dispersed teams. * Experience designing and architecting. * Must be available to work off hours or shifts as required for 24/7/365 support.
