The Senior Director will oversee and direct operations and activities of the Department of Business Systems. This position will provide vision, leadership and management oversight of the business systems and other related systems. This position will coordinate the work of assigned business systems staff, supervise and evaluate the performance of assigned staff. This position will work closely with the Claremont Colleges (TCC) through intercollegiate groups, as well as various consultants, to define business system data requirements.. Essential Functions:. Function 1:Directs the development of the business systems to meet organizations' needs by. Enabling and configuring new enhancements and functionality as released for constituents. Evaluating current business processes and recommending better solutions to improve efficiency. Collaborating with IT departments, Financial Services departments and Human Resources departments on gathering organizations needs and requirements. Supporting the Workday Operations Governance Group. Leading the development of additional projects, programs and platforms that are associated with and ancillary to the Workday System (such as Prism, Workday Cloud Platform, etc.). Function 2: Oversees the health, performance and internal/external security of the business systems by. Evaluating internal controls and key processes. Collaborating with functional areas to establish business systems performance benchmarks. Collaborating with IT departments to identify security risks. Ensuring Workday tenant and other business system resources are adequate to ensure required performance. Function 3:Takes leadership in disseminating information and provides advice and counsel for constituencies by. Ensuring information is compiled and distributed to the institutions about critical updates and other system changes. Organizing and communicating new functionality documentation and recommendations to the Workday Governance and Operations Committee (WGOC) and Workday Governance Committee (WGC). Ensuring that appropriate research, configuration and testing of such (above) functionality is conducted prior to communication to appropriate committees. Building and maintaining positive working relationships with college customers, office personnel and others. Function 4:Develops training programs and resources for the Claremont Colleges by. Developing and maintaining training programs for all business systems. Conducting training sessions on a regular basis for existing and new system functionality. Providing one-on-one consulting to constituents as needed. Function 5: Develops Business Systems staffing by. Maintaining an effective staffing plan and advocating for adequate staffing resources. Providing ongoing coaching and constructive feedback to direct reports and other staff in the business systems unit. Addressing staffing issues in a timely and effective manner.. Promoting an atmosphere of open communication and trust. Required Qualifications:. The following qualifications must be met in order to meet the requirements,. Minimum education requirement is Bachelor degree or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum years of relevant work experience is 8 years with demonstrated administrative ability appropriate to the position, which would include 5 years of management experience. Experience with implementing and / or maintaining financial (and/or HR, and/or student) systems in higher education. Experience with change management and stakeholder management. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in writing and orally with a range of individuals with various functional and technical backgrounds. Strong customer service orientation and ability to work well with diverse internal and external constituents in a team-oriented environment. Ability to share knowledge and information and distribute such knowledge and information concisely. Preferred Qualifications:. The following qualifications are preferred,. Masters degree in or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience leading a financial, HR or student related function within higher education.. Experience with Workday.
