The Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the Cummings School of Veterinary Medicine is looking for an Assistant Director of Alumni Relations and Giving. The team is located at the North Grafton Campus and works closely with the Cummings Veterinary Medical Center that offers excellent veterinary care with a human touch. This is the only academic center in New England, the faculty students and staff translate cutting-edge science into advanced veterinary care that goes beyond healing the patient to embracing and tending to the entire family.
The Assistant Director for Alumni Relations and Giving will be instrumental in developing and maintaining a creative, goal-oriented approach to alumni relations with an aim for broadening the base of alumni engagement with Cummings School and increase alumni giving.
Qualifications Basic Requirements:
Bachelor?s Degree and 3-5 years of related experience
Knowledge and experience in alumni relations
Strong Interpersonal skills
Excellent writing and communications skills
1-2 years direct solicitation/fundraising experience.
Experience in higher education or hospital/healthcare administration is a plus. Complex database experience (Advance, Razor?s Edge, Millennium, Access, etc.) is strongly preferred as is comfort with web applications.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment, training and support of volunteers is essential.?
Demonstrated understanding of, or experience in fundraising.
