Job Description

Job Summary: The primary focus of this role is to provide support and analytics to the North America Direct to Consumer Teams (retail stores, web) by performing planning, forecasting and reporting duties related to key performance indicators, marketing campaigns, and operations planning around the collective goal of driving profits and optimizing ROI for the division.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare analyses and lead discussions around daily, weekly and monthly business trends for Timberland s DTC (direct to consumer) group through robust KPI reporting by store and channel. Perform variance analysis of key performance indicators versus LY, Plan, and Forecast.Candidate will be asked to make recommendations on business trends to management based on findings around traffic, conversion, price adjustments, and product mix.Help inform on business decisions through collaboration with other key business stakeholders in merchandise planning, marketing, and operations.

2. Assist in managing the data reporting and analysis that ties together all of the DTC data models.Design, modify and build new data processes to improve reporting and analysis.Assist in developing the reporting and analysis needed to drive business decisions.Identify strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas for improvement. Assist with training new data model across department within DTC.

3. Assist in the preparation of the monthly forecast for Timberland stores and e-commerce channels in regards to primarily sales and margin but also for operating expense and profit.Develop store by store KPI builds for each month then break-down sales and margin forecast by day for regular store benchmarking and monitoring.

4. Assist in the preparation of the annual budget and 5-Year Strategic Plan for Timberland DTC with emphasis on sales and margin builds by KPI and product mix analysis.Prepare presentations for senior management as needed.

5. Analyze the results of key marketing initiatives and store/site promotions on a weekly basis.Work directly with the marketing team in preparing event and deal recaps and future recommendations based on results.Perform basic ROI analysis on marketing events.

6. Develop ad-hoc business plans for test and learn initiatives to drive business results and reach forecasted goals.Work directly with new and sophomore store to identify opportunities to improve results.

Job Requirements:

Years of Related Professional Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of experience in a multi-store retail environment preferred

Educational/Position Requirements: Bachelor s degree in Finance or business administration from an accredited college or university


Strong analytical skills

Ability to demonstrate strong and effective written and verbal communication with all levels of the organization including senior management

Focused, entrepreneurial attitude toward business

Able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment

Strong computer skills (Advanced MS Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint)

Outstanding mathematical skills

Ability to analyze reports

Ability to efficiently plan, organize and manage time

Self-motivated with a positive attitude and ability to make good business decisions with little direction

Prior Experience in Power Pivot/Power Query is preferred
